Hey,
So I'm looking to upgrade my starting battery in my LWB vitara.

Question is, what's the biggest sucker I can squeeze in there?

Ill also be running my winch off it and linking the starting battery with my auxiliary together
via a kill switch when winching to give all the amperage I can to the winch.

Suggestions on battery sizes?

There is usually room to get a wider battery in, but not a longer one.
Height is important, as it could hit bonnet.
Insulators on terminals is wise if in doubt.

Most decent after market batteries are perfectly capable in stock size(in my opinion)
Optima is a good choice.

Mines a Yellow Top, D51 duel use.
Don't know if they do a stock size in starter batteries(red tops)

I'd like to squeeze the biggest battery I can in there that has the highest CCA rating, when we do our winching for advanced driver training with the club I'm wanting to give the winch all the current it can have, so ill link my auxiliary to it with an isolator switch when winching and have 50mm2 cable running from the battery to the winch so it has the freedom to draw all the amps it wants and can work effectively.

Do you think it's possible to squeeze an N70 sized battery in there?
