Samurai ones wont fit, the actual CV will but the Axle shaft is the wrong length.

No, Sierras have different axle lengths.

You can get Jimny Chromos but they're very expensive. There's a few threads on here about jimny chromos. A while ago 31zook got a bunch of custom hituff axles made up so people could run chromo Sierra CVs with these stronger axles. Maybe send him a PM asking if he's planning to do another run of them.

From memory 31zooks setup cost around $1k. Well worth it to have a reliable front end. Jimny CVs share their internals with LJ CVs which were originally designed for a 600kg, 25hp vehicle (and they weren't even particularly strong there) so they're well and truly out of their depth on a modified Jimny.

No, custom axles and a spacer are needed.

I believe the "hot" setup would be to trim the CV down and use different wheel bearing nuts, thus giving no requirement for the spacer. You'd still need custom axles though. You'l probably have to convert to 26 spline side gears, If you're chasing strength then there's no point in keeping the 22 spline setup.

Don't see why you couldn't keep the vacuum hubs, they are of unknown strength though.

i have had problems with them when i went out in the bush near brizzy i had to winch heaps to get out of there

You can remove your wheel bearing nut and trim it down. You only need to take about 8-10mm off the end of the CV shaft and a FWH bolts up.

I built a set of HyTuff 22pline axles sets, broke mine, and tim has a twist in his. Moral of the story is they need to be 26spline to work/be strong enough.

As for the front diff center, mine has be good to me, the ring gear anti-flex bolt has some rub marks on due to heaps of pressure going through it. But I read somewhere that the front diff the way its cut pulls into itself when going forward making it incrediably strong. But it a bit glassy in reverse.

Yeah. You might get away with running vac hubs but there a bit unreliable at times...
