hey guys, GOT a vitara hardtop pretty cheap with a blown single point efi carby motor.
I also have a vn v6 auto that runs really well.

THE CHALLENGE is to fit a vn v6 into the vitara engine bay either with the auto or using the vitara 5 speed.
THe body will be chopped into a ute and the radiator in the tray, there is enough room for the motor.
DOES ANYONE KNOW IF ANYONE HAS A KIT TO JOIN THE VITARA 5 SPEED to the motor
OR
DOES ANYONE KNOW SOMEONE THAT CAN FABRICATE DRIVE SHAFTS TO THE TRANSFER AND TO THE DIFFS

Nobody makes an adaptor for Commo V6 to Vit box...
Any tailshaft shop can do shafts.. There are a few on the Sunshine Coast if you can't find anyone closer.

You CAN buy an adaptor for Commo V6 to Hilux box/transfer... Might be worth looking at.

The guy from 4WD Action had a V6 in his sierra so maybe contact them and see if they can give you the thread on the build up

Been there, done that. Its too much engine for a sierra ( both power and weight.....mostly weight )

For all the effort thats involved, the 4AGZE is half the weight, half the work, and half the capacity. Same power, and about 70Nm less torque, but I think that suits the sierra better.

Same goes for the vitara. And atleast you have a chance of getting it engineered without having to sell your house to fund the process.

The chassis has been cut shut welded lengthened and changed so you can't count that.

So that car is basically some big diffs custom chassis and a huge arse super heavy VN v6 motor.

Lets come back to comparing apples with apples

make sure u leave extra money for a car trailer coz thats the only way it will travel. at the end of the day u will have a sierra with a powerful motor, unless u spend more $$$ on its suspension/ gear, and it wont go any further offroad.

options for driving are very limited :
landcruiser 4x4 park
scenic rim
other private property and small 4x4 parks.


just buy an old jeep, big engine similar shape as sierra. [flame suit on]

Legalities, practicalities or asthetics were never mentioned. And so I stand by what I said, Yes it can be done and yes if done properly it can work and work quite well.

yes you can remove everything bar the chassis and half the cab an weld a thong slapper v6 in there and some bigger diffs and gearbox and rig up some steering just fine

dont bother calling it a suzuki though cause its not it will jsut be another slapped together compromise pretending to be a buggy and a full bodied 4wd, while failing at both

Its not designed to be registered, all i wanted to know was can it be done and the question has been answered, who cares if its suzuki motor or not, a v6 power in a small car will make up for the weight of it. ITS CALLED BEING DIFFERENT, why have a vitara like everyone else, not a hell of alot of ute chopped vitaras running v6s is there.

AND IT WONT COST ME THAT MUCH AT ALL, FREE VITARA FREE COMMODORE, the money is in adaptor kit or running CUSTOM DRIVE SHAFTS, I HAVE HILUX DIFFS..

tell me how you plan to get the diff in the front, and think hard and type slow cause man people wiht a fucking lot of brains have tried and its hard work to get right

why dont you sell the vit and buy a hilux with a rooted engine and stick your thong slapper in that, be easier and work better

Well it was a sierra, but it was not a complete success by any stretch of the imagination. It wheeled what any sierra on 36's with lockers and coilovers and a 1.6L would wheel. Only difference is that the 1.6L version would have been able to travel at highway speeds ( assuming the tyres were radial and balanced) whereas the massive "thong slapper" over the front end did nothing but ruin the handling of the vehicle at speed.

Its a bullshit, archaic engine, with fuck all HP/Litre, and does not belong in a small 4WD.
