How many people did you have to kill and dispose off before you realized you could just drown them and the cement blocks weren't necessary?

Technically you would only need to do that experiment twice.

Yep, fat has a lower density than water, so floats very well... just look at whale carcasses...

That is true.
Pressure increases by 1 atmosphere for every 10m of seawater/10.3 metres freshwater.
1 atmosphere is about 15psi, so at 60psi gauge pressure (75psi absolute), at 40m seawater the pressure in and outside the tyre will be more or less equal. After that the tyre will start to get compressed quite quickly the deeper you go.
The 10psi tyre won't make it to 10m before getting compressed.

In reality you would first have to overcome the inbuilt strength of the tyre and its likely the bead would unseat firat and fill with water

still has absoultely no bearing on it's ability to float though.
and then pressure is only an advantage if the vessel starts to colapse.
Otherwise it just weighs marginly more with extra air pressure

The point is that its bouyancy changes as it gets deeper.
So whilst if you threw it in on the surface it would float, deeper in the water it wouldn't, as the tyre got compressed.

I'm sure once you get to the depths you people are talking about then boyancy will be the last thing on your mind. What about breathing?
All up it doesn't matter much at all how much air you have in your tyres, the difference that it will make will be bugger all, you will still sink.37's compared to 30's will just make you sink a tiny bit slower. If you want boyancy strap a few barrels to your car they are cheap and will give you more float that bigger tyres.

Did anyone read the question, says nothing about being on a car or anything like that, just a tyre and rim with tube, have more bouyancy with 60psi than with 10psi.
Answer is yes

I am going to say no. Like mentioned before boyancy is related to displace ment and weight not tyre pressure. Becasue a 4x4 tyre weighs the same and has the same physical dimensions at 60 psi as it does at 10 psi there would be no difference.
