Okay sorry, i want to finish this thread so much, believe me. I want a proper working car without any dilemmas...but it happened again last night driving home from work.

I don't know my options now. I'll give it one more chance and if it happens again...bye bye.

Thats sucks!!! big time! I still stand by what i've recommended, I've fixed 3 jimnys all same prob, all had been off road all had faulty solinoids which when pulled apart were either rusted together or full of corrosion and grit.

I have no other solutions would love to be a fly on the wall in the workshop to see what has been done to the car though

It was the solinoid which they changed. So they either got a faulty brand new part or they are idiiots.

you could test to see if vacuum is reaching the hubs when in 2wd. when your driving in 2wd, vacuum should not be sent to the hubs at all! so if you can get a vacuum gauge, or hold your finger on the hoses coming form the solinoids. you can disconnect the hoses at the RH leading arm.a vacuum gauge would be best as a slow leak of vacuum will be hard to detect. if not just leave the hoses disconnected for a few weeks/days, see if the problem still occurs if it still occurs this will mean the problem is caused at the hubs (I doubt this though) if there is vacuum detected when in 2wd or 4wd idling in the driveway than there is still a leak and this will still cause problems. even while in 4wd there should be no vacuum applied to the hubs. Vacuum is only applied for a few seconds (10 or so) when you change from 2wd to 4wd and 4wd to 2wd there is a magnet in each hub which holds the hub in locked or unlocked position the vacuum applied to the hub overcomes the magnetic force when locking or unlocking

Seems to have fixed itself...knock on wood.

Hasn't happened since my last post. Have also taken it out 2 times since so i am happy. I'll have to get the pics up for yall.

No all i need to do is figure out how to get ti to 100km's an hour without revving out like its going to explode.
