It will get the car to speed faster, It changes the structural integrity of the car, changes the weight of the car, the standard brakes on a siera were not designed for that power making the braking distance change due to wieght. It also being a taller motor in a major accedent would come through the fire wall differently that could cause more damage to the driver or passanger.
Shale I go on??????

You seriously need some kind of smart sensor on your keyboard cause fuck you dont make sense a lot of the time
yes it will get the car to speed faster which affects braking ability going by how they are tested to ADR's but this is an approved swap by most DOT so its already factored, also seeing SWB vits have this engine with pretty much the same brakes and more weight its not a concern, I do like how you started with it has mor power so the brakes are no good cause its too heavy though, nice change of reason.
Structural integrety WTF? same engine mounts and its hardly a stressed member like a ferrari
I doubt there is much difference in weight
its only a few inches taller, if you hit that big either way, you're fucked
Please go on, I am interested to hear what else is wrong with this.

Have you ever delt with an insurance company??? without the mod plate its your fault end of story? If some one in a hoopty that is falling apart but is stock standard runs a red light and you are traveling UNDER the speed limit and you hit and kill them with your modified un aproved car YOU are at fault. because you were in the wrong to start with. They will always fuck you in a modified car. even if you tell them you have a modified car. Without a enganeer say so its wrong.

I have delt with insurance companies.
In the scenario you describe there is no way that you would be considered at fault.
It is the insurance companies responsibility to proove that your modifications caused the accident, not yours to disproove it.
My previous car was rear ended and written off by a GQ patrol on Double Island Pt. My tyres were too big, had a engine without a modplate and too much suspension lift. None of which CAUSED the accident.

If the car didnt come out with it from the factory it is a mod. even different rims is a mod. I have seen a car that was a right off that the passanger got killed when the driver checked a curb and the aftermarket rim broke and flipped the car. The drive was sober. The insurance wouldnt pay up because it was a mod. The rim size was different but with the different size rubber the OD was the same.

So, the aftermarket rim was at fault.
If the modifications in no way cause or contribute to the accident, then they will not be a problem.

Thats a totally different sort of example and you know it.
You said that if someone ran a red light and you smash into them with your big tyres its your fault.

lol yes a sensor would be a good thing
A few things I would like to call BS on here
rim breaking and flipping the car, once you lose the rim and tyre that corner of the car is gunna want to slide along on the mostly flat steel surrounding it, given youve already it teh gutter to break the rim (also BS) youve got a fair bit of flat ground to slide on before smacking soemthing solid, I doubt there would be anything in the world that could flip a car after that, even if you hit a rear wheel an the gutter
no actually that is all, the rest is just too made up to even argue with
I know a few 4x4's been written off, with mods probably playing some cause to the crash and were still paid, hell I even know of one that was written off after the trailer they were towing went nuts and pulled htem off the highway, the trailer was over its max load AND the load was was over the max for the tow vehicle, paid out no questions asked
I have a real problem with internet bullshit and people spreading it around when they have no proof, you are sailing fucking close to going to far

your right I do but it still invalves something that had an effect on the outcome of the accedent that was not on the car from the factory.

Insurance does not like to pay people unless they have to .... If they can find any way out of paying they will... having a modified car is a reason they dont have to pay. If they can in ANY WAY shape or form relate your accedent to your modification and IT IS NOT enganeered your fucked. If this wasn't the case you would have more idiots like me on the road in cars like mine:)

Ok, so why then did the insurance company pay out when some tosser hit my vitara, even though it had aftermarket rims, big tyres, exhaust, extractors, all these "mods" which you say stop insurance companies paying...?

IF THE MODS HAVE AN EFFECT ON THE ACCEDENT or ARE THE CAUSE OF THE ACCEDEND or CAUSE MORE DAMAGE they insurance companies can and will back out of paying if they aren't enganeered.

do your cars have a throttle? motor size dosnt directly relate to car speed.

Umm, maybe you should take your own advice and read through the thread yourself...
You were saying that modified car = your fault, no payout.
I said, only if they cause or have some impact on the accident.
Now you are changing your story to say exactly what I told you earlier...

you may want to check that!
what you will probably find is that there is a percentage power increase your allowed and then it has to be engineered.
I'd nearly bet you money that your not allowed to increase the power of a vehicle by over 50% without an engineers cert.
and if you are you taswegians are dumber than you guys look

if we go to big we have to get it pitted by a mechanic not sure if thats the same as an engineers report
but with relation to this thread i didnt see it matter so much as im only going .3 of a liter bigger
and dave the rim u r saying caused the car to roll so it was the mods fault so that doesn't actually back up ur defense and how did he manage to hit the gutter drifting a corner??? that would count as wrecles driving so insurance wouldn't of covered it anyway

sorry buddy dont take this the wrong way but if u have to ask what a valve is/what it does maby you shouldnt be even concidering a engine conversion.
i say this because u are not the first kid to try this and have to have some one more experianced come fix your fuck ups...
i will put a mk1 gti motor in your zook, if you supply everything, and i will wire it up for around $700, that includes makeing a angle drive for your dizzy etc..
might sound like alot but concider it.
