-take the entire wiring loom out, everything from behind the dash.
-you will also need the speedo cluster, more specifically the circuitboard that is inside/underneith the speedometer, this has to be transplanted into the sierra cluster carefully.

Personally i found it good to use the vitara wires and engine bay fuse box. This allows for better power through the car and thicker wires to the starter and alternator. If you use the fuse box you can use one of the fuses to run a wire to an amp if you have one.

It is an easy conversion to do, i did mine in 1 week without a wiring diagram.

i was speaking to mr rocky (mike) on here just then and he said i dont need the VSS all it does will minimise excess fuel usage i think he said with out it it would use 10ltrs to 100k's and with the vss in it would use about 8ltrs to 100k's

You WILL need the vss, before i installed it with my conversion the engine would cruise fine but when you put your foot down to accelerate it would splutter before accelerating

my car runs fine with no vss as does my mates with the same motor.
maybe yours had an underlying issue, but the vss is not needed for the car to run fine, just a little richer.
