so ive just put a new CD player in my 1990 sierra....
wired it up ok and it works good, except that it doesnt store the radio stations
if i have the aecessories on and store it, turn the system off and then back on agian (with the aecessories staying on) it remembers the stations no probs
if i store the stations, turn the radio off and then turn the aecessories off aswell when i turn them back on it hasnt remembered them at all??

i fiddled around with the memory power wire (see pic) disconected it and it cut power to the whole system (so the power/memory wire obiviously works)???

the previous owner must have had a different head unit and for some reson wired a 15 amp fuse near the end of the wire, i left it in the circuite would this have anything to do with it??

does anybody know what the go is?
any help would be hugely apriciated

Have you got a constant power wire running from the battery? My last one did the same till I wired up one of those...

you have to have the constant wired for anything to be remembered same as it wont remeber what song location of song or anything on a cd if you don't do that as well that constant is yellow do that then you will be set.

Sounds like you have the 'memory' wire hooked to accessories instead of constant power... Find a power feed that is live when key is off and hook it to that. Usually the back of the ignition switch is a good place for constant live.
