i have a n/t swb sierra with the 1.6 efi and my heater doesn't work the fan blows but no hot air, anyone have this problem and or solved this?

Are the heater hoses connected?
I did this to mine, it had a heap of crap covering the heater core.

Did they connect the heater hoses when the conversion was done?

I had the same problem. After reading what I could I found I had to rip out the entire dash and undo the steering column to get to the heater core. What I found was years of leaf matter built up stopping any airflow through the core. Once I cleared all the stuff out and put it back together it all worked fine. Have attached photos hopefully. In saying that its a big job so make sure all the other bits are working first as said previous and elsewhere

It's not hard just takes a while, hardest was getting the electrical plugs back together. Gotta say was worth the effort especially how cold its been. I dont have a back on mine.

You dont need to take the whole dash out, just drill a hole in the side above the heater core.
Big enough to fit some kind of small vacuum nozzle, loosen up the crap on top of the core with a screwdriver or something pointy but dont dig into the core, a little mirror come in handy to have a squiz.
Then vac the loose stuff out.
And then glue some plastic over the hole.
It was amazing just how good the heater worked after this.

Sierras only put hot air out on the windscreen and feet vents mate ... Try putting it on the windscreen

long shot at best, but it worked for me: check that when you move the temperature knob that the switch under the hood actually moves... in mine, it was rusted shut, but nothing a good spray of WD40 couldnt fix, and been fine since... just worth looking at, only takes 10 seconds

yep thats another good idea, spray all moving parts on the heater controls with wd40 or the likes.

I ended up pulling my dash out as well, it was full of leaf litter... then i put some fly screen over the vent

it's not something silly, my fiancee expect her heater to be blowing hot air the second she turns on her car... you are giving it enough time to warm up hahaha!!!

heater is working fine, i just didn't realise it had to be on foot mode to work.. silly me lol.
