hey i have a g16a bolted to a 1.3 gearbox with adapter plate
i havea a 1.3 starter motor as i didnt have time to fine a 1.6 starter motor
can ny one tell me or show me were you have to grind for it to fit.
heres a pic

I would personally grind the starter rather then the block.

x2 grind the starter motor's housing, did it on mine and works fine

where on the starter do you grind nd how much do you grind off

Push the starter motor into position.
Rub it up and down against the engine block.
You should be able to see where it has contacted.
Start grinding...
I have to pull mine out again and grind off some more. It's making a pretty awful noise as the starter disengages

you grind the face of the starter that contacts the block. Do a little bit at a time with a flappa disc and check fitment every few passes with the grinder. Just make sure the starter sits in position properly.

Stick starter on, see where it's hitting (rubbing) grind a bit, check it, grind more till all is good.
There is no set measurement to take off because I'm guessing no-one would know, It's all suck and see.
