just wondering if there is such a thing as a standard rear swaybar on a zook, i had a nt 1ltr lwb a few years ago and it had what looked to be a factory fitted rear sway bar setup, but i have never heard of any others having it

Yes, Styleside 1.0 LWB's had rear factory swaybars.
Not sure why you'd want a swaybar in the rear of a sierra though, they already have plenty of rear roll stiffness.

I suppose i could modify a front setup for the rear, they were pretty similar from memory.

Front WT won't work. I tried.
A front NT is closer, but still not wide enough IMO.

My 93sierra lwb had a rear sway bar factory fitted, but no front.
It took up space in my garage for 13 or so years, now its at a scrap steel merchant, probably being made into a new car

just playing with a few idea's at the moment to get some tune-ability in the suspension setup within the production class 7 rules for the offroad racing it makes it hard competing with newer coilsprung cars i know its more about the experience for many others but finishing ahead of some of the larger 4bys would make it worth while for me.

what about a stiffer spring and softer shock? add an extra main leaf and run double rear shocks, but really soft ones?
i reckon the corrugations in racing would fatigue the swaybar mounts or the swaybar itself pretty quickly anyway =)

Front WT is pretty close to fitting the back of an LJ50 (close enough to make it happen ).

I reckon if you fitted a sway bar thats atcually designed for offroad use then you wouldn't have an issue.

I will be running similar to the currie on my coil conversion.
Will be hunting for some torsion bars soon from a lux or nav etc
