Front diff got a little hot due to running with no oil and when I had the centre open last night I noticed the plastic cage that pushes the locking ring in place is melted in a few spots. It still actuates OK when I tested it with shop air so I thought it will be OK to run.

Just replace the plastic piston. They are cheap enough.
