Front diff got a little hot due to running with no oil :oops: and when I had the centre open last night I noticed the plastic cage that pushes the locking ring in place is melted in a few spots. It still actuates OK when I tested it with shop air so I thought it will be OK to run.

Just replace the plastic piston. They are cheap enough.

probably replace all o rings and rubber seals while your at it.

I have new orings but the uring is like $100, might give that a miss

when the plastic junk broke in my RD88 this is what was replaced when ARB rebuilt it.

Quad Ring, XR133V75 x 2
part number 160235

Locking Tab 6mm x8
part number 150402

U Ring - RD 75/87/88/118 x 1
part number 160306

Piston, G Type x1
part number 040201
