Hey guys my clutch cable in my sierra is clicky. it happens about half way when u put the pedal down. its just started doing it. it was nice and smooth the other day. I'm running a exedy heavy duty with g16b.

Do u think the cable is on the way out?

I'd say it would be apparently the cables don't like heavy duty

Disconnect cable, lube it, then re-install it.

I did this the other day, it now feels brand new

Mine used to do the same thing. By clicky do you mean there is a point where the "peddle pressure" changes?
Mine used to get harder to push then at a point you would feel it go really easy. I think it was just the HD clutch. Thats why i run standard clutch now

nah it doesnt really change pressure. it just feels like its got a notch in it... like as if its grabbing on somethig. ive been pretty happy with the HD clutch so far

what should i lube it with? i might buy a new cable just incase it breaks

silicone spray or something is good for lubing it, though it all seems to attract gunk and make it worse

all heavy duty clutch owners should have a spare cable and tools to swap at a moments notice in the car

Mine started feeling like this when I tore the rubber boot thing at the clutch end. Rip the rest of the rubber boot off (not doing much if it's ripped up anyway), it fixed that 'clicky' feeling in mine.

Have a good look at the outer case near the rad to, they like to shit there....

yep. I've had the cable come out of the outer. Drove home with no clutch. that was fun.. Cable was old, stock clutch.

would graphite powder be better for lubing so it does'nt attract dirt and grime.
