Did you adjust it at the handle or did u take your drum of and adjust it with that little cog. I'm always adjusting mine, but still don't work.
I think my cable is stretched

the automatic adjusters seize up. You need to take off the the drums and free up the adjuster cogs. It's the bar between the 2 shoes at the top of the drum with the notched cog

you need to back off all teh extra youve wound into the cable till its well and truly loose.

then adjust the brakes at the drums, this is supposed to be automatic so if its not work out whats seized up

then wind the cable back up so it takes up at a nice spot on the handle, the cable is not for adjusting the effectiveness of the brake, its actually makes it worse

I'm always adjusting that cog on mine. I have brand new brake shoes and I still don't have a handbrake. Nothing is seized either. What could be wrong? Stretch cable?

Drum brakes are a pita but can be made to work just as well as a disc setup. Do as Royce suggested with the adjusting. Take note of the drum surface and lining surface while you have it apart, if it's been in mud then the shoes may need to be replaced. If the drums are glazed and shiny then get them machined. If you have just fitted new shoes then they may take some time to bed in as more than likely the curve of the drum and shoe don't match so there's really only a small amount of lining touching the drum. Get someone to work the handbrake slowly while the drums are off and make sure both cables are moving properly. If you run out of adjustment on the cable it's possible the cable has stretched.

The cog is adjusted as much as it can so the drum is a nice fit over the brakes shoes and cable is all the way adjusted aswell. There's a handbrake there for a few days but just ends up with nothing at all when it's right up.
