Hey, so I am doing another G16B conversion in a zook that currently has a GTI engine..

Just double checking to see if the starter motor, flywheel and clutch of a GTI is the same as what you would get off a Stock Sierra 1.3L engine? Because the blocks are the same or really similar as the Sierra box and engine mounts bolt straigh up right?

Just preparing myself to see wether I will need to sourse a Sierra Starter motor, flywheel etc for when I swap those bits onto the G16B.

Thanks guys,

PS, Looking for a good running G16B too..

PM if you have one please

Flywheel and clutch are same.
1.3 starter will need grinding down on the block side.

Check the damaged vehicles auctions for 2000+ Baleno's.

98+ baleno's should be all coil pack. tho i've seen 97's with coil packs where the dizzy usualy is instead of sitting on top.

Apparently they are but i didnt notice any real difference when i swapped mine over. The main difference between my sierra and GTI one was that my GTI flywheel was flat and the sierra one wasnt.

You can't interchange the fly wheels
You have a sierra flywheel in there

A Mk1 gti flywheel can be used . they are thinner and lighter than the 13a ones.
most people use The 13a flywheel for a little more low down tourqe.
