I've built a pair of w/t diffs over the last few months that were going to handle my plans back then.
Plans have now changed
My diffs are arb rd 208's with 4.6 nitro ring and pinions crmo front and rear and all new everything else.
I know the calmini crmo rears aren't the greatest and full floaters would be better.
Will they be of any use with 200 fwhp through an auto
I don't really want to destroy them so should I find them a new home.
Give me your opinions

Max torque 275nm. 2.46 first gear. Can't find a slip ratio bit it'll most likely be a 2500 non lock up converter. 33-35" tyres. 35's might be the straw that breaks the camels back.

I'd say it will be a race to the scrap bin between your CW&P and your rear axles.

I have read that one and the thought crossed my mind and on a second read it looks even better.

Vitara/ F150 hybrid diffs front and rear. just be aware that the reduction in the vitara 3rd is more than any sierra 3rd. I think the tallest vit ratio available is 4.3:1 ( your WT's are 3.7:1) I'm running 4.625's on 33's.

The OP is already running 4.6 R&P, so the gearing shouldn't be an issue.
I don't think there's any way a sierra diff is going to last in that application. A vitara rear based floater might work fine, but it depends a bit on your terrain and driving style. Peak input torque sounds like it will be a bit lower than what I'm running (I have quite a bit more reduction) but I'm not generally jamming the car up on rocks. I'd say you're borderline for a stronger solution perhaps than Vitara rear. We haven't broken a vitara rear R&P yet, so we don't know where the limits are.
I'd also be a bit concerned about the front.
Steve.

Seems I'm jammed between a rock and a hard place already.

You've discovered the Suzuki dilemma...
Upsize tyres too much or add too much power and you NEED to upgrade the axles to Hilux, Bundera, MK, 60 etc etc.

At which point part of the whole reason suzukis are more capable than larger, heavier vehicles ceases - you've levelled the playing field out based on the requirements of your driveline. The car gets wider, heavier, and has the same ground clearance as whatever the donor diffs came from.
275 Nm sounds like it would make an awesome suzuki, but in a hilux it's nothing special.
If the end result of the build is something almost as heavy and almost the same size as a hilux, how much more capable is it than a hilux?
Not bagging your build at all Mitchie.1, but that's the end point of the dilemma. In reality, my car is pretty big and heavy (for a sierra) - it's at 100" WB, and there's lots of steel in it. I'm also at the limit of what suzuki parts can cope with, driveline wise.
Steve.
