Hey guys, i bought a t-case with 6.5.1 gears fitted to it. It came with a rocktoy ring already fabbed up ready to fit. I have just test fit it and the roktoy hits the transmition tunnel, i have taken some measurements and believe with a bit of massaging and cutting into the roktoy it will fit, I cant run a body lift as im getting the car engineered and its already sprung over. The rocktoy ring is 6mm thick. I have attached a picture of what i propose to cut, do you guys think this is too much and that it will effect integrity of the ring.

I have cut mine worse then that and havent had any dramas, but I do have a custom cradle.

Yea, didnt think there would be any dramas. Even with this cut of there is still a chance it won't fit, but I hope it does!

I had to trim around the input shaft/top of the ring on my zook as aswell as the point you have marked.

You will also need some on the drivers side

Yea, ill guess ill keep fitting ,marking and grinding till I squeeze it in.

Thats the other place mine is cut too.

You'll need to cut abouts all to top off to clear.... I did it in mine and still going strong but still hits te floor... If you got the time and skill cut the floor and make a bulge in it to clear the ring

Almost in! Moulded the tunnel a bit with some brute force and a hammer. And a little more trimming of the ring and she will fit. I guess even with 2/3rds of the thickness of the ring removed from the top will still be a lot stronger than the standard mounts.
