hey guys i have a 85 swb sierra soft top and the rear springs have more leafs then the front and sits lil higher i was wondering if i can rotate the leef springs around put front in rear and rear in front?? then i should get a level ride and their would be more spring to suport the weight of the motor?? whats ur ideas??

They are different lengths...

the other problem (and lots forget this when looking at RUF) is the longer rear springs are a lot softer, even though they have more leafs

surely the lenth wouldnt be that diffrent and the shackle would allow for the difference

What are you trying to achieve?
Yes, putting rear springs up front can be a good thing (when set up properly), however swapping front for back will not work.

they are too short
they are too stiff
they are too flat
the locating pin is wrong

so you will have a rear end that bounces like a wheelbarrow, jams the tyres into teh wheel arches and scares the crap out of you every time the shackles invert

When you put your rear springs up front (RUF), you need to relocate the spring hanger.
Same for putting the fronts out back (FOB), relocation is needed.

Try taking out one of the longer leafs, they will affect it more.
