So my vit has been okay for a while since the wiring was redone to the battery.

Now another problem. Intermittent cant start. It is not fueling based on the tests we ran.

Spark is strong.

3rd last time it started ir ran on half cylinders for about 5 seconds before working fine for a 3 hour drive.

A mechanic friend of a mechanic friend says it is most likely the cam or crqnk angle sensor based on symptoms.

I hav a dizzy so would inly hav the latter afaik.

I thought it would b at the front of the sump but nothing there.

if womebody knows where it is i would appreciate it.

Car is 3 hours away now had to take my parents gv back to work.

Thanks

If I'm not mistaken there is a "noise filter" that also provides ignition feedback to the ECU, and if that fails, the ECU does not "see the spark" and kills the fueling.

http://www.rhinopower.org/diag/cel.html

Insert the diagnostic jumper, check for failure codes, crank the engine over with the jumper in place and then without switching the ignition off, check the codes again - it's either a 41 or a 42
