Quick question:
On a scale between 1 and "you're a complete tool" how much of a f*** up have I made by using 'Shell gadus s2 v220 2' grease in my front CV joint? (Only did one side today)

I replaced the inner axle seal and kingpin bearings and then realised I only had that grease and wheel bearing grease (which I know definitely not to use).

You won't of damaged them mate, just check it is okay to use on the packaging for hightemp stuff and if not repack it. Wheelbearing grease, general non mineralized grease is usually alright

It's a lithium mineral grease. What sort of temperature are we talking? -20°c to +130°c apparently

Yeah if its between those it will be fine man, you should always be able to put your hand on the hub, so as a rough guess you are well within your limits.

The kingpin bearings were feral, congealed lumps of rust.
