I have removed one, one the odd chance someone may want to buy one, but I will be the last I remove, as from memory it was a pain in the arse, did come out somehow though. good luck

It feels like its just sitting in there....no clips or screws. The only thing that seems to be stopping me from lifting it out is that bracket in the middle!

B4T - no nuts from underneath, it's threaded into the body....looks like it was made that way so you can't just simply remove that brace.
Got bar work - that did cross my mind but too much effort.
The reason I wanted to remove it in the first place is because I managed to get water in there. I ended up just drilling a small hole from underneath the car to drain the water out and then just inserted a rubber plug afterwards.
