Chasing bits to get my baby back out there.
Had sludge release in the rocker rail, block three journals and five rockers. It's just eaten itself!!
In need of replacement port injection head and vitara cam.
Appreciate help from anyone with those bits/motor.

G16BA?????
It is either a G16A or G16B
Can't be both. Is it 8 valve carby or 16 valve EFI?

No such thing as a G16BA mate. Only G16A or G16B. Either way, you need a 16v head.

Was just chatting with a bloke who has seen this motor before, he went on to explain about the three different aussie importers & how WA seemed to get an American type of version. As in, when the rest of Oz got a carby suzuki, WA got the same car in efi. Now I don't know if that's what's going on here, but the donor car was WA rego'd, and when I was extracting the ecu and wiring it had an emission control system the wiring diagram states as only on californian vehicles. So, the question is, do the mid 90's 16v efi heads have the same relief at the top of the port for the injectors, as previous post say I only need a 16v head & I have another 16v G16B motor & the blocks look identical but the head does not have the injector reliefs.

That kinda looks like mine. Which is a G16b. I've gotta pull out the engine in my Vit so I'll have the head available shortly and I have a cam ready to go now. Where are you located? this is one I just had rebuilt, so it's not for sale.

Hell yes! That's the bastard there! The casting imprints at the top are a bit different, mine doesn't have numbers or characters either, but close enough! I'm up in Darwin, so you get used to paying the postage on everything. Let me know what you want for them, but I'm back out bush again on Tuesday for two weeks, cheers, Rob.

Well, at this stage it won't be until 1-2 weeks until I get this motor ripped out.
The head pictured is from a 94-98 G16b Vitara, Mine is an early model, but I'm sure they'd be the same. Unless someone else here knows off the top of their noggin, I'll confirm it once I remove it.
I do have the '94-98 cam which is ready to be sent. I'll be using the cam that's in my current engine in the head pictured.

That head is just a 16V MPFI head which is pretty common. Only some early 1600 swifts and imports have no injector reliefs because they were running a throttle body injection unit.

Yep that would be it, the ones I can find here are throttle body with no reliefs, still marked as g16b. Old mates photo, other than numbers & patterns, looks identicle at the ports. Thanks guys, finally confirmed as a g16b MPFI
