if the shaft is ok he could possibly reuse that and stick a 1.6 cv onto it i was running a similar setup when i blew my diff and had a 22 in it instead of 26

pretty sure you'll need an outer from a 26 spine diff as the 1/2 shafts are larger in diameter along with the spine.
you can drive it in 2wd with the RHS CV removed if you need it for work. put it all back together minus the rooted cv. get a spay can cap & that will sit in on the inner seal on the hub where the outer cv would go thru & drain the oil in the diff a bit or all of it. clean up the RHS of the diff with petrol/prepsol/wax & grease remover & tape the hole up with some decent tape. eg race tape.

so the wreckers sold my mate a 1.6 shaft and assured him it was a sv420 shaft *smacks face*
its like an inch to short and the GB end is not even close, tried to make a shaft out of the two but couldnt get the wheel end off the 1.6 shaft wihtout potentialy breaking it. will get my mate to go screem at the wreckers tommorow. . .
is there even sutch thing as a 22 spline SV420?
so hopefully someone on here maybe has a SV420 RH CV? please?

GRR never send your friend to a wrecker who doesnt understand your car. . .
anyways. . . so regardless of year or transmission all RH CV shafts on SV420s are the same?
If so hopefully i can send him there tommorow (im working) and make sure he watches them pull it from the SV420. . .
