could anyone post up pics of how they have extended their bumpstops?

Can't find a decent pic but my fronts are just a piece of 50x25 box about 110mm long fitted between bump rubber and chassis with some longer bolts.
Rears are 50x25 welded on to chassis.

cool this is basically all i had in mind.
only going to run 29s cause i want to avoid body lift.
i have ome springs and shocks.
any idea how much i should extend the stops? to avoid tyres rubbing?

With 29's you wont need to. I fit 30's on mine with only a small amount of hammering the seams in the guards

I have not altered my bump stops, have 31s, I think it depends on the style of driving.

Over where you are, its more into sand, and I recon you could do away with longer bump stops.

I got 5" of total lift but.

Bumpstops all depend on shock length. I run the Commo shocks on the front with 40mm bumpstop spacers. Rears yet to be sorted.

when running a standard size tyre they would never rub even when fully compressed.
but i would assume that a bigger tyre would hit the top of the gaurd before the bumpstop would touch?
so by extending the bumpstop, it would then stop on it rather than stopping when the tyre rubs? saving the tyres from being damaged.

Correct however a 29" tyre is not big enough to rub in the guards. I had 32" tyres and I only then needed a 1" bumpstop spacer, and that was really only because I was running the commo shocks which would bottom out if I didnt extend the bumpstops.

So you'll be fine, wouldnt worry about it
