I bought a reco 1.6 short motor from suzisport in Bris a year or so ago. Unfortunately due to work and whatever I have only recently been able to spend time getting the motor going. It seems to run fine however I have noticed there seems to be a lot of water in the oil when I dump the sump. I have done it three times now as I was told I might just have some condensation build up (being that the motor spent months sitting in Darwin this seemed feasable).
What I'm wondering is has anyone else struck this problem? my next plan of attack is to do a cylinder compression test (I haven't seen any signs of oil or water in the cylinders), and a coolant system pressure check. Then I'll probably pull the head and fingers crossed it just a head gasket.

fingers crossed its just the head gasket or cracked head it could even be a corroded block when I got my gti motor it had a blown head gasket when I took the head of I found the block was fucked this is due to the old owner of this motor not using coolant
