Guys, having an issue a with my 04 Jimny speedo.

It fluctuates at speeds, ie when I speed up to 60 it would hit 60 then flick up to 65 bobble and come back down and when I accelerate again the same thing happens.

You can't keep on a constant speed because it fluctuates up and down.

Any Idea whats causing it and what I can do to fix it?

Are Jimny's cable speedo?

The cable will prob be sticky inside the guide outer....

Possible remedys:

Buy a new one to fix.
Lube whole inner cable with wd40. So take it out, lube up, put back in etc
Make sure there is no tight bends in the cable on the car so if you have moved it to work on other parts etc, move it back to original placing.

If electric..

Make sure plugs/inner terminals are all clean and connected to gearbox/transfer and through car etc.
Make sure arrow isnt sticking on speedo(and for cable)

they are electric.

I noticed it after I had my UHF installed.

But now that I'm thinking about the sensors, I do have a leak somewhere in the transfer case output seal. but I dunno if that would do it

i'd be looking at that. maybe they connested inti that or an eareth that runs off it. dirt etc will not affect the sensor in the t/case.
