I have just bought a 30mm EFS lift and about to install it tomorrow. Straight after I am going to get some AT's fitted.

Whats the biggest tyre people have run with a standard lift with very minimal scrubbing?

I have searched but most of the topics involve body lifts or coil spacers which I am not interested in.

I have priced up 225/70, 225/75 and 235/70's.

Any opinions on what AT's you found good on the GV would be good too. I am tossing up between these options that Ryano has given me- Maxxis 751, Cooper ATR, Toyo OPAT, General Grabber and Mickey Thompson ATZ (225/75 only).

So you have no rubbing of the inner guard under full compression??

Even though it doesn't make a difference you also have taller springs.

I ran 235/70r16 on Std spring's for about 8 month's, scrubbed every where, put 2inc in & only scrubbed on full lock.
You should be fine with 225/75r16's, if it rub's on full lock, just let off lock a Lil bit, thay turn real well any way so a Lil bit of loss on full lock is nothing to worry about.

just the standard OME 35mm lift

I've been running 235/70 Toyo OPAT's for about 2 1/2 years.

I'm pretty happy with them. I'm not very friendly on tires and they must have over 30k on the clock (5 tires, rotating the spare in), a couple of them are just about spent.

The only punctures I've had have been tek screws from the yard at work, and I've done most of the tracks between Alice Springs, Ayres Rock and Finke in that time. They do rub on the chassis on full lock.

What ever you do, don't by Bridgestone (D694 I think?) A/T's! Condoms have thicker sidewalls!

this post is from about a year back when the GV had no lift but i put 225/75/16 muddies on it.

Hi All

i was under the car and found a small tab that held the bottom of the wheel arch in place, my tyres were rubbing when turning so i bent this bracket with pliers and 50mm of clerance












as you can see it now clears at full lock
( 225/75/16s )

The front one's got ripped off when I hit a roo at 80, all the rear wore down from the tyre's rubbing on em, & all happened on the Mt Isa trip

Thanks for the pics. Didn't get lift or tyres in today, all lined up for tomorrow. Looks like I'll be getting the 225/75/16 ATZ's.
