303zuke - Found the breather on the gearbox today. Unfortunately its a different size to the T-case.

I went to Express Fittings at Brendale today and purchased...
20m 8mm Poly-something tube (better than Polyethylene apparently).
2 90 degree threaded connectors.
4 90 degree 8mm connectors
4 gland style chassis mounts

First I drilled 4 holes offset in the back left quadrant of my air box.

I determined the length I needed of the glands, and cut them down with a hacksaw (cut off a bit over 1/3 of the total length)
I also cut off 3mm of the elbow connector so they would go snugly into the glands.

The 8mm tube fit straight onto the T-case fitting easily. For the gearbox, I just cut about 5cm back from the elbow of the original rubber hose, slipped the new 8mm tube into that and popped it back onto the gearbox fitting with the original clamp.

Another poster mentioned that the diffs could be tapped. I checked this out today, and wadda ya know... if there was a thread there, the 90deg threaded connector I purchased will go straight in. So Chris is bringing the right tap in tomorrow, so should all be sweet.

Thanks Andrew. You might see, I stuffed up the left bottom hole. I don't know how it happened, but it is too close to the other. I had to file both away from each other a little.

I was about to post a fourth picture of the airbox back in the vehicle, but my ISP went down, and I'm on a different PC atm, so I'll post that tomorrow.

Anyone want to buy a Billet QUAD billet kit?

The Billet kit looks fantastic and very professional with its blue block, but I feel more satisfied with my solution.

I spoke to my father this morning who is a retired mechanic, and he could not see any 'seal popping' (or 'seal pooping' for that matter) issues with the minimal pressures and vacuums that might build up in the air box.

That air box fit-out looks real clean, I'm impressed. If I get a chance I may drop by today and have a look. Are you gunna bring it out on Saturday?

Paul. Chris promises me it will be usable by Friday.

This means -
Front bar finished
Rear bar finished
Side steps/sliders
Brush bars
T-case bash plate
Front bash plate

Lockers if they are through customs
Roll cage if time

I just have to figure out how best to secure the tubing to the diff housing. Zip ties just won't suit in this situation.

How have other people done this?

As a side note - Seems the pics post back to front to what one uploads them and I can only post 3 pics.

Here is the final pic

You can just see the 8mm black tubes at the bottom of the pic awaiting connection to the air box.

I might take a couple more photos of the inside of the box and the connectors themselves.
