hi all

im looking around for a nice all terrain for the vit, rims are 16x7.
Only ones i have found sofar are dunlop 215/70/16 which look alright. anybody know of anything else??

yeh the yokohama go12 are a great tyre. had a guy cum in today he got a set on his patrol ute and he done 90k on them and they still got bout 5-10k left on them. if u interered come to tyres and more booval and have a chat and will look after u with the price say andrew told u .

thanks madzook, had a look and they look ok, they even do a 235/65/16 i got a price of 195 fitted for the dunlops so they are a front runner.

I got KUMHO Road Venture AT's LT's 215/75/15 from Tyrepower at $175 fitted, and they haNdle very well onroad, even on wet roads, they speed rated to 180kph, and a load rating of 1100 kgs and they balloon very well on sand, i am Very Happy with them !

BFG all terain or MTR's both are top tyres depends what you are doing with them Tim I have the MTR's on the wagon and they are great in Glasshouse. For the 100 series I will be going the BFG's as it only goes off very little.

Back in the day when I sold tyres, Dunlops and goodyear wranglers would always come back with problems of bad road noise and being out of round. Dunlops have extreemly thin sidewalls thats why they are cheaper. I personaly would never put a dunlop on any car I have. But each to there own.

so i have been making a few calls and the dunlops are still a front runner at $195 fitted each, cheapest by $40 to $110 than others.

Stop pissing around spending $$$$ on phone calls, wasting all day stuffing around and buy a set of tyres. God know ya never go off road anyway other than dirt roads.

My parents have run a few sets of these Firestone Desitnation on their Jeep Cherokee:

a bit too road oriented I think, but a nice soft rubber compound which grips well in all weather, just not so great in the bush because of the tread pattern. they get about 60-70k safely out of a set on an XJ Cherokee.

This might suit your needs in the 215/70, still rather mild.

I personally am getting the M/T option for my next road tyres:

not available in any of the sizes that suit you however. They are a mild M/T and to my mind are what an A/T should be. was wondering if you could use the 225/75R16 thats all

if ya live in the tropics they would be the worst brand to buy.
plus what sort of company wont warranted there products if they are used outside of the major east coast city's. even nankang will warranty there tyers when used in the bush.

mmm those mts look good , daily driver so i need it to be quite. the ats look good but a dealer says they dont do 215/70/16s even when the website says they do.

They do look good, should be able to say in a few weeks just how noisy they are
If you are keen, email bridgstone Australia (contact details on their website). they would verify that for sure. sometimes the tyre dealers don't get the full info.

i had firestone mts on my old vit softtop and i liked em but it seems they have done a new design since then. yeah i emailed them for info.

the reason im chasing tyes is that i and the missus have taken a shining to the vit, so we plan to keep it longer than first thought and the tyres i have now are ok for another month or 2.

the yohoamas are bout 245 fitted but they all so cum with a protion warrtany so if u damage the tyre in any way and it cant be fixed it is replaced free of charge. it is only covered if it still has 75%tread left then less then 75 and more then 50 it done at a prorater cost, it save u alot of cash. call us on 38163455.....
