i know this topic gets brought up alot but just wondering about the calmini 3" lift for the vit the rear end are the shockies lond travel or just a standard length like the front ones. cause the exchange rate is quite good at the moment and you can get it to your door for bout $1500.

The rear shocks are longer that stock ones.

The reason that the front shocks are standard length is to keep tteh CV's working within factory angles, once you start putting the CV's on big angles they fail much quicker.

what about the ome struts are people know to break cv's with them in
cause i think that my suba has more travel out of it front than the vit

I am not sure if running the OME struts will make that difference.

I'm running the Calmini kit with OME front struts, VT Commodore sedan rear shocks & I've never had a CV fail... yet!

It seems to flex alright with no sway bars?

The Commodore Rear Shocks.... Are they off a Independant Rear (IRS) End Commodore or a Solid Diff Rear End Commodore??

The IRS Shocks are about 70mm longer than the Solid Rear Diff ones....

Did u have to extend your brake-lines (Rear) as well ??

I'm running the Solid Rear Diff Commodore Shocks ATM & if I want to run the IFS ones I've got to get longer Coils or do something to prevent the coils from falling out

Mine are ZIP tied so they stay in position. Seems to work

Hey Rob,

The VT sedans are all IRS as far as I know, I really don't know squat about commonwhores apart catching a taxi...

I have extended rear brake line which are part of the calmini kit & relocated front lines.

To get this sort of flex ALL suspension components are replaced with the Calmini stuff, the springs would be twice the length of the stockers

yeah i have bin checkin it out at the moment. did you reckon they would sell it without the shocks and struts so i could get the ones i want just bought a new motor head gasket in the old one went. thats somethin are the auto's transfer the same ratio as the manual. as well got an auto vitara box sitting here if anyone keen not sure how much they are worth

They dont sell stuff seperately, it is a "kit".

There are some Chinese rip offs you can get seperately if you want to go that way.

I am sure ODA could get them.
