Ok, im getting everything together for my new springs.

currently i have:
Bushes
Springs
Shocks
Tools

i need:
Bolts
U-bolts
A weekend to put it in
?????

I will be doing this myself with the help of a friend that has done it before over a weekend [Soon hopefully!] he is only free on weekends and i want to get everything ready so we dont have to find 'x' on a sunday morning.

What random items will i need that i probably wont think about?
What size/grade bolts will i need?
Will a weekend be enough?
Should i just go and buy it all from ARB? how much will i save if i source them myself?

Depends what bushes you are using?

Rubber bushes ( rubber grease)
Poly bushes ( bruce knows the name of the right grease)
Grinders with cut off wheels
Anti sieze ( you will thank me in about two years)

New bolts for the eye bushes ( the others will be rusted into the sleeve in the middle hence the angle grinder0 Measure them go to bolt shop and buy them.

U-bolts can be sourced from any where but arb. Arb are too dear. Trailer shop, suspension shop etc

go around and spray all the bolts now with wd40 or something, and maybe a few times this week. it might make the weekend job easier.

but yeah, don't muck around too long trying to get seized bolts off, just go in and cut em and rip the springs out

you might need crush tubes for the big eye end of the springs.

ok, seems like i was fairly on track then. Great idea about the WD40 too... will give it all a good spray in the morning

I'm using bushes from Bruce actually, so i will wait for his reply on the grease

Graphic grease or LMM grease mate. Or if you have graphic powder you can add that into a good grease. Just don't use General Grease and add powder.
Using LMM at the moment in Casper's front and all is good. I just need to do the rear now as you can hear Casper 500mts up the road. heheheh

will i need extended brake lines?

You can get away without them, but it's good to have them. I have a 2inch spring lift and standard shackles in the white suzuki and the brake lines were fully stretched under flex.

ok, im having a few issues with shocks now. mainly the $$ to pay for them. i just had a whole lot fixed on my car is it totally impossible to run stock shocks as a temporary thing for driving around town [no extreme flex stuff] until i have the cash for some decent ones? will the stock shocks even reach?
