Went for a quick blat this arvo to discover a previous dodgy fuel tank repair had given way and was loosing fuel in a bad way.

I was just glad that no one with us was a smoker!!

Can anyone tell me if you can get fuel tank protectors or do I talk to the engineers and have one custom made?

there is a guy that makes em here for pretty cheap, I dunno his number but somebody will after the weekend

Can anyone offer any advice on repairing the hole in my tank. It is a small crease about 10mm long.

I was thinking of epoxy and fiberglass. Has anyone done a similar repair with sucess?

i think you can use stuff like Metal Goo or something like that. I think it's meant for tank and radiator repairs. I'm sure SuperCheap has a few things like that.

I have fixed the tank with QuickSteel and it has worked like a charm. I also now carry some with me.

Any ideas on a tank protector?

the dude that was making them here doesn't anymore because of the cost of steel. if you have some tools you can make one yourself? or just keep an eye out for one for sale?
