if you want to do it properly and support the body at the rest points too, around 16 or so?

because there is a whole lot more points where the body rests on the chassis but does not mount to it. just buy a kit. there is no point trying to build one or in like a week you will open another topic asking where you get female bolts from...

Body lift kit has 8 blocks, just_cruisin's kit is very strong.

Just cruisins kits has 10 blocks for a swb sierra...Facts need to be true!!

2 front, 2 back, 2 a side under doors(4alltogether) 2 in middle under the tray.

There are other places that the body has rubbing mounts/ no bolts onto the chassis, but i am yet to see the purpose why.

The 10 mounts are fine and engineerable in nsw.

yep. plus the reason that it isnt easy to make it yourself is there are 6 studs
on the body that need to be made 50mm longer and cutting them out of the car is just rough. :wink:

No. But just buy a Just cruisin Kit for the 10 main blocks, and do the rest with 50mm long peices of 50x2 SHS and just glue them in place with a dob of sikaflex

$210 including postage and that includes a steering spacer. Apparently he's an alright guy to deal with too.

Trust me!! As someone who used to make these kits (albeit with alloy blocks) $210 is a great price!!

I am part way through installing a 2 inch body lift on my SWB Sierra. I found the blocks on a zook at the wreckers and bought some new bolts to put them in with.

There are 10 blocks in the same locations that have already been mentioned in this thread but what I need to know do I keep the rubber spacers in that were between the chassis and body at the mounting points or do I take them out?
