im having trouble finding rear brake pads for my 2000 2 door grand vitara, dose anybody know if the pads for a Lwb would fit?

I would think so, but isn't yours a 1.6 soft top? That might be a different story...

If you're having drama's finding them up north, these guys have been around for years & are just around the corner from me. If they wont freight them I could post them up. When I picked up my last pair of pads they had every option available for the vitara's/GV's in stock.

yea mate its a 1.6EFI soft top grand vitara, no one lists a part for it
thanks il shoot them a email see what they can find. im still keen to see if teh LWB pads fit as i can find them

does it run 16" wheels as standard?

Won't fit, you will have to go either genuine or have your SHOE'S re-bonded,

got it in one runs the 15"
i didnt think about that so the SHOES probably wouldn't fit

thanks steknig i thought pads didn't sound right :lol:

well iv sorted out the break pads
now my next problem, when i was freeing the break shoes from the corroded mess that was my rear hub one of the springs and retaining pins snapped and everything fell out. so now i need to fork out $32 for a tiny spring through genuine and i have no idea exactly how it all goes back together,
iv got most of it together but im lost on a few parts iv being using a parts schematic but im still a little stuck can anyone put up a picture of hwo it looks put together?

i have one i got of the net a while ago, and it has how to break it down and put it together so when my brake pads arrive il give it a try
