Does anyone know the sizing of the little black axle seal for the front diff of a wt sierra?

Just wanna know so if i can't get one from a parts place i can go to a bearing place..

I havent pulled it apart yet, My front diff emptied itself on the last 4b run..

So its urgent, but no so urgent.
Gives me a chance to regrease everything and swap my right clicky cv!

This should be in Home tech as part of a suzuki seal list!

the seal will have a generic part number that all bearing shops will understand, get that and I will add it

I have one here in a packet somewhere with the generic part number.. I'll post it up tomorrow.
Suzuki genuine part number is 09283-26016

I thought the generic numbers were 25/38

25 id, 38 od and around 6 wide.

they will understand and will proably have 5mm, 6mm, 7mm or 8mm wide seals

on high km cars its best to get the wider seals so they seal on fresh bit of axle. helps stop them leaking

That's the right number. The Suzuki numbering system for seals means that the xxxxx-26xxx is for a 26mm ID. The correct size is 26x38x7

A 26mm seal will leak on a used axle.. 25mm doesn't.
I've always used them.. (inch/inch & a half X 1/4) without a problem.

you can tighten seals by shortening the length of the spring behind the sealing lip, or replacing the spring entirely with a o ring a tad smaller than the spring.

Race boats tend to run the o ring to help with rust issues of where they are used.

Too fiddly for me! With the spring, you run the risk of it popping out as there is less holding edge.. I've had the spring pop out stock!

Went to Pep's Spares this morning. They gave me imperial 1.000" x 1.500" x 0.312"

So 25.4mm x 38.1mm x 7.9mm

2 partnumbers on the bag, V0248 and G01850

Unsure if thats for Pep's or General..
