hi all well i tried to get the rear axels in today and im still having trouble. the driver side (shorter axle) went in no problems but im still having trouble with the passenger side (long axle). i checked for obstructions in the axel housing but it looks all clear. teh axle slides in and i can feel it mesh with the side gears but there is a gap of about 10-15mm between teh bearing and diff housing?

could i have the axels in the wrong sides?

anyone have any suggestions

It's worth trying, the diff here is offset, but the tube's could take that up.

well i sorted it out
i did have the axels in the wrong side, i had a think about it at work today and relised that i had the vitara diff in not the grand vitara (stupid i know) so i went out and checked the old vitara diff housing that the center came out of (what i should have done in the first place  ) and the drivers side axel in teh old diff was longer.

cheers chaps
