well my zook is off the mud/ road/sand for a month replacing items and fixing leaks

i will need to replace transfercase seals front and rear
also both diffs
and my gearbox is leaking

just wonder if any of these are a pain to repalce i have taken the axels out and i am now faced with 27mm or so bolts to undo to get to the seals in the diffs and transfer once i have passed this situation how much harder does it get im told the transfer is easy. but then i hear thing like crush tubes and shit for the diffs and got scared so if someone could enlighten me on this subject i would be very happy :D:D

my gear box is a bit dodgey anyways so if anyone is parting with one cheap let me know :D cant afford right yet though :D

Josh

Others may have a different idea, but i personally would get the diffs done by a pro. it will stuff with your backlash in your diff if you undo that nut and should be set back up properly.

i to agree with tanshi on the diffs etc.Unless you can mark the nut, count the turns it undoes then do it back up to the same when you have replaced the seal it will effect backlash etc and could cause damage to pinion or whole diff.

A bloke i know once rattled the pinion nut right up with a rattle gun 8O

Plucking the seals out should be easy enough just up to weather you pay a shop?

Gonna give mine a go soon, rear seal spat all the oil out (at high speed) will do the counting bolt turns and do it back on the same number trick.
