i've been having a few problems lately with my 1.6 efi zook..
everytime i take off i nearly stall it...
if i plant the accelerate foot.. the car cuts out!
i have to get 4-5k revs to take off...
then in second gear once changed it chungs... like a 5 to 6 bunny hops...

now my dizzy is all the way advanced and helped for awhile
is it possible that i mite be a tooth out..
or is my car just thirsting for petrol??

cheers

why is your dizzy on full advance?

Have you tried setting your timing to OEM specs?

my dizzy is fully advanced cause that is where the car seems to run best.. if i retard it, it doesn't have enough power to go.. :(

there is no mods to the engine is there?

i would stick to the factory settings and make sure all is sweet there.
i dont like messing with advancing or retarding via the cam/crank teeth

So it ran fine then went shit and you had to advance the ignition to get it to sort of go again?

I would replace the cambelt, set it to the factory marks (I reckon its slipped) and put the ignition timing back to stock and go from there

I'll still bet it's the cam belt. Sounds like it slipped a tooth and ran like shit till he advanced the timing, then slipped another tooth and it runs like shit again. If it slips yet another tooth it won't be running at all.
