Peecocks and goats are good. If you can get a male peacock to roost nere your door they will go off if anything bigger then themselfs moves around them. Goats If you keep 1 female with a group of males (3 or 4) the males will rear up and headbut anything that comes into the yard. They do this to show off for the female. They dont make much noise though.

The peacocks will only do this at night. The goats will do it all the time even to you.
When people see emus the want to come have a look. This would bring more people to your place. You would also have to build a 5ft fence to keep the bastards in. Oh and in a small fenced off area they are cunts to look after. hey will kick down just about anything.

i was going to say that a sheep would be a bad idea because it would eat too much but i guess that a dead sheep is also pretty useless. alpaca's are fairly grumpy when anyone comes near them anyway aren't they?

alpaca's are cool animals & are quite smart, instead of crapping all over the paddock, they will all crap in the same spot making a "toilet" of such so they don't have to eat around their own crap.

not sure how one would go up north, with the tropical climate but their fleece is worth a fair bit compared to wool.
