hi, we have just purchased a '94 Stockman traytop wide track my first Suzi, my partners 2nd . Today while servicing the front hubs, I noticed the near side front hanger is totally rusted through on one side of the spring. Apart from fabricating and welding a new hanger, what options do I have? eg, can you buy these ready to weld, or other solution? I will be putting new springs etc in while I have it all apart. Any other Millicent/Mt gambier members who can help with local suppliers would be great. thanks

I don't believe you can buy them. Just find another chassis and take it from that.

fatzook, They cant be removed without damaging them beyond useless, but thanks for the thought.
MrRocky, have you the hangers? or the shackles? I need the hangers, will most likely begin fabricating tomorrow with a friend, but if you have them, what would postage be?and what do you want for them? pm me if you want a phone number/or give me one, and i can call you.
we are going to do both sides while we have it undone for the new springs.
I tried to put a pic up. but it didnt work

I'll wager that they can. I have removed plenty in the process of extending wheelbases' and doing custom spring setups, so I know it can be done. Besides, if they can't be removed, then how did MrRocky get some? :?

atari, no, but I did look at the 2 out there, but we had already bought this one earlier in the day. the better one (running) has a/c, 40000km, '97 model. he wanted $4500 for the 2 cars. the 2nd was justa parts car, blown head gasket he said, but plenty work needed.

Fatzook, pardon my ignorance, was simply commenting from looking at the welding and its position in the "corner" around the round bar, and chassis under the front b/bar, I just assumed it would loose a lot of "size" when cut/ground off, would have to find a pair of good ones too :(

I understand what you are saying. I never said it was easy tho  If you use a 5" grinder with 1.0mm discs you can get them off without damaging the mounts or rails. It just takes a while.
