OK, for all you people who love the coily Sierra's and Jimny's

I would like to know the length of a short side coily rear axle shaft, and/or the length of the short side Jimny rear axle shaft. Measurement from the end of the spline to the surface that the drum bolts onto would be lovely

Dunno about Jimny but coily axles are 15mm longer each side than WT axles.
That trivia may help.

If then the short shaft is also 15mm longer than WT, it might be what I am after

Yeah ok.... 15mm plus a cutting disc....

Either or should be OK.
Need a Suzuki 26 spline shaft that is ~548mm long. WT short side is ~538mm long. So hopefully a coily shaft will work, even if it requires some trimming (pending the spline being long enough).

Now I just need to find some, this might be the hard part

There is a dead coily at Ipswich auto wreckers at Brassal. Last time I was there (about 2 weeks ago) the drivetrain was complete.

I trimmed about 15mm off. Heaps of spline left

Yeah, thanks bagnkat, got the shaft from that coily today. The rear diff was there, just not attached to the car lol.

Yeah, the drivers side rear one was there, attached to the chassis. Not sure about any of the others.

Cheers, that clears up that unknown then. Probably could just get away with a heavily trimmed down one, but I think the coily is the go. When we figure out the final few teething issues I'll post up what I'm getting at... I think its pretty cool anyway
