How many modded sierra's have their stock swaybars?

Sierra's were very stiff to start with. They would of been put in to get more safety handling points...

Some lwb even had rear ones!

Yeah the leafs do get abit boring swapping etc. I've done it alot....

no worriers ... cops and deaprtment of transport have no idea half the time any way, in saying that im still on my p's 4 two months so would rather not lose any points just now. doesnt look to hard to take off would it be easy enough to take on and off when i go wheeling?? sorry guys new to modding cars and sierras. also can u get disconnecters for sway bar sierras??

Jeepers do. With the sierras, some people have. But you'd have to hunt them down.

I have seen 1 with the front mounts. The pin between the mounts and the rubbers was cut and modded so it had a sleeve on over it. with a lock pin through it. It was sort of a disconnect. Maybe want33's did it? Can't remember.

I have just fitted new front springs and reading this, need to remove a leaf. We used extended shackles on the rear to level it up, springs and bushes were ok.
can you also tell me, which of the gabriel shocker number is the front ones?
Also, I need to take my steering wheel off to realign it, because the old springs were so bad (sagged), the new ones put my wheel out 90' (thats all it could be, nothing else was changed). So....... how do I get that steering wheel off please?

Hey mate I reccomend that you get a wheel allignment done after a suspension lift as it changes steering gemetry.

Otherwise pop the horn button off and under there will be a nut.. Loosen that off till I is on a couple of turns then try and pull the wheell off while rocking the wheel at the same time.. Pull right hand ten left hand.. Then it will pop up and be stopped by the nut..

If you take the nut off when the wheel let's goes you hit yourself in the head.. I have seen people do this before ... Funny as to watch.

hey mate u can get a sterring wheel removing tool for like $15 from an auto shop, makes the job a breeze and u want punch your self in the head. cant remeber wat part no. was what but if u go down and look the fronts will be a "pin and eye" design where as the back are "eye and eye". the fronts are the rear commo shocks, hope that helps

i also agree get a wheel alingnment just to be sure

thanks guys, my question was a bit misleading, I havent done a lift, just new front springs, (the old ones were inverted), but they are 4 leaf, and rigid so will be removing a leaf as in this thread. Being new and rigid, they made quite a difference to ride height.
the steering wheel bit, I actually wanted to know how to remove the horn button first up, but took a chance and put a screwdriver under the edge, and bingo it popped off. I borrowed a tool, easy as. couple of goes to get it just ok.

Hey ... Said to do a wheel allignment as it was probably alligned when it was riding on the sagged springs.. When you put the springs in and. Raised the vehicle up, the angle in the steering arms changed..

I would spend the small amount of $$$ it costs to get it wheel alligned.

Commodore ones are pin to eye, Hiace ones are eye to eye

I stand corrected! Thanks for that. I even own some of these shocks, just haven't put them in yet I might have to pay more attention in future.

fronts are stud top, ferrule bottom.
rear is both ferrule.
