Hi Guys,

I need some parts for my 1990 Vitara.

Firstly a bracket for the rear RHS window as seen below. If you have one for the LHS I would take that also. Really need one ASAP for the RHS. GOT ONE. NO LONGER NEEDED!

Also need some replacement vents for the middle of my console. Just the horizontal ones will do.

Send me a PM if you are able to spare these parts and we can talk payment options.

Thanks!

I think I have the window brackets sitting in a box at home, I'll have a look tonight.

Are the LHS & RHS the same or are they different?

Not sure, I assume they are reversible, but just in case I thought I would be more specific. I might actually try to swap the good one and see...

You going to tell everyone why you need new air vents? Or should I?

LOL, you could probably tell it with more flare.

All I'll say is that I always told people the Vitara heater was good!

Well xaravitara and I went for a bit of a bush bash on a hot (36C) Saturday afternoon in Canberra with no wind. As we were going alng the first track he asked if my engine was running hot, but it wasn't. We got to the top of Mt Coree, popped his bonnet and let it cool down.

Temp back to normal. A few hours latter we were climbing out a a step valley (McIntyres hut) and were in 2nd low for ages, i noticed i was running hot to pulled over, Xara oulled up with water and steam coming out of the engine bay, he as badly overheating.

To help with engine temp he had been running his heater at full ball, which helped, but had the adverse effect of melting his air vents. they went all droopy, then sticky and when he touched them they just died completely.

So moral, not really sure, but it sure was funny!
