I have just been pulling out my blower unit/ heater core today to clean them out because they are full of dirt and leaves and i wondered if people run with out them and for what reason?

Talked to a mate whos pretty cluey with this sort of stuff and he said that it would be illegal to register the car because it doesn't have a demister, but he has heard of people running a stick on demister like on the rear windows of other cars and that would pass pink slip.

So i was thinking about just leaving it out seen so i don't use the zook as a daily more of a weekend warrior/ project car. I have seen cars with out them in the US but have heard they are pretty easy going compared to over here.

You need a demister, legally & so you can see where you are going when it rain's/fog's, there is a blower that hot rod's use that heat's the air befor blowing it out, I think it's Adr approved.

Do you not want to put it back because you made a mess pulling it out???

haha i didn't think i did too bad of a job seen so it was the first time i have done it... found out i didn't have to pull out as much as i did but i found a couple of other things to fix so it worked out alright...

Almost back together... lol, just have to figure out how to stop leaves getting in their now, i think the fly screen might come out. Unless someone has a better idea

Yeah i remember seeing that, good idea but i thought i would try something different, so i used fly screen and a few small self-tapping screws to try and keep the leaves and shit out.

My rubber drain things are still good and it probably doesn't rain as hard down here as up there. So this is what i ended up with, should last a while i think but time will tell
