I got my lwb a few weeks ago, but cant work out what year it is. all the info i know about it is this:

Suzuki Sierra LWB WD 1324cc SJ51
it has the big fibreglass canopy that comes off and turns it into a ute. its a 2 door 4 seater. i have the engine number and VIN too, dunno if this helps?

Please help :)

Doesn't it say the year of manufacture on the body plate?

sounds like an old narrow track though

going by this photo? it's a narrow track, and the 1324cc is a narrow track motor, and by the paint style, looks like a 1986 ?

it certainly isn't a wide track though.

could be anywhere from 85 to 88 really.

it should say that on the ID plate on the firewall.

could be dodgy plates. i got a car years ago that turned out to be a write off with another cars id tags.

the tag above the dizzy will have the year stamped on it about 3/4 the way down.

sj50/51 can be either NT or WT and from 84 to 90/91ish

yours is defiantly a NT. what the hell happened to it? looks like it was used as an anchor for a while.

The W doesn't mean Widetrack, W is the model code for a LWB.
Q = SWB soft-top (fabric or fibreglass roof)
V = SWB hard-top (standard or Hi-Roof)
W = LWB (fabric or fibreglass roof)
T = Ute (with tray or as cab/chassis)

steknig wrote:

That's odd. It looks like they've stamped the Ute GVM in error, the LWB (either soft-top or Resin top) should be 1370Kg GVM.

its from the way yanks identify cars, the WT came out part way through 88 and being a bit different to either model it was called a half model
