Why ask for people opinions if you don't want them?

The Commo/Hiace combo is a long proven way of doing it...

If you wanna go do things your own way then go do it, but don't come crying back when you spend $300 on shocks that give you fuck all flex...

how does the OME rears go all round. 2" lifted rears in the front and back??

BUZOOKA. another option if you want different length shock is to lift you upper shock mount by making a new x member

I cut 2 rear upper mounts off a scrap sierra and welded them on top of my crossmember so now the shocks are like this /\ I used rancho 9000 ajustables that measure just on 1m opened. Now i dont have to worry about running out of shock length ever again and i can change back to standard setup easy.

Well, a mate of mine swears by his Rancho's.... not sure on the P/Ns but he has em for his 2" lifted Sierra, and they are what you might call the "Perfect Length" in that they provide maximum down travel and stop just short off bottoming out with the diff firmly rammed up into the stock bumpstops....

be aware that with rancho's the little tabs on the rear diff for holding handbrake cable and brake lines always hit and dent the hell out of them unless you remove a couple of brackets and give em a whack with the hammer as they are heaps wider than standard shocks

when i bought my lwb it had rancho 5000 shockies and i
wasn't very impressed with them.
also if you plan on running tyres bigger then standard without a bodylift
you will need to have extended bumpstops anyway .

i would think that probably half of the lifted sierra's here would be similar to
ZF's article in the tech section. with good reason as well. and as a bonus you
will have suspension that actually works for less then the price of 4 shitty
rancho shocks.
