okay i got my replacement motor in connected everything sweet now i get to my dizzy and the wires that go to the coil i cant figure out which goes where ha ha ha ha
"thats what happens when u get mates ot help and they just get into it and not tell u wat they have undone and where they put them lol"
i have 2 wires comming from the dizzy 1 is branching off with a plug on it which i have plugged into its mate on the main harness on the firewall. now i have 2 left to go on the coil from the dizzy... plus. i have 2 on the coil 1 with a resistor of sum sort which is earthed then the other which is plugged into the main harness now im stuffed have tried different ways and im not getting any spark.
motor is kickin over  just not sparkin

There are two wires from dizzy that go to coil..
YELLOW to + side.
Black to - side.

gday jas im out of credit mate and the mrs is out at the hospital visitin her dad and has her phone :S:S
the dizzy has
BLACK with a terminal, and a BROWN wire branching off it with a plug" there is a plug to suit comming off the main harness?
YELLOW with a terminal
then not on the coil, but attached to its brackets
BLUE with terminal with a resistor then earthing
BLACK AND WHITE with terminal which goes into the main harness

okay i found i had a blown fuse for the ignt coil, replaced that last night and did a few ways with the wires now i am getting spark.
when i kick it over all i get it little chugs then if i try to throttle on while kicking over it back fires with real loud pops.

nope i only changed the valve cover and the sump and i put a new dizzy cap on. but yea in my manual it says backfires could be timing or loose dizzy but i aint loose lol and i havnt touched the timing :S:S

Basically just the plug leads on the dizzy cap in the wrong order.

Take it to your work and use an oxy set to remove the top tank. Then shove a long dipstick down each and every tube. Refit top tank and away you go.
