has anyone done this suspension swap? i'm thinking about giving it a go but i want to see if anyone has done this or if anyone has done some real research on these swaps? i've got a swb soft top 87 sierra

any advice help would be awsome

Thay use Jeep shit in USA because thay are as common as a crumpledoor over here, spring's would not be cheap to buy in Oz.

arent ome springs made in oz(i was under the impression they are)and then exported to the states? i could be wrong (more than likely wrong ) can anyone shed some light

try calling arb and see if they have ome yj springs over here if they do weigh up the prices no harm in trying

& spring rate, thay are made for a heaver car, the yank's get a zook & stick V8's in em, thay do strange thing's to once good car's over there.

The YJ conversion from all accounts seems to be very good. But the yanks have access to nice, old, cheap, soft, used springs. You would need to buy them new, OR have them made to the same specs, which may cost over $350 per corner.

Do some research on the spring rates and lengths/ widths of the YJ's and see if there is an aussie car with similar springs. I would be surprised if you couldn't find some.

Pete from suzuki shop Cannington might still have Graeme's (Bazooked) rocky road yj kit, because im pretty sure he striped his old zook for parts and iv'e never heard of another zook running it, but i dont know how much he will want for it.

He might also have Graemes old coil kit

Also last time i checked you could get OME yj's from arb for about $800 a set

mines engineered SPOA on hilux fronts all round... Search outerlimits for "The UFO" - theres a thread by me (alien) called "The UFO is back!" or similar which is the build thread.

I chose hilux over YJ cos hilux's are way more common here =)
