My Vitara is a 1997 SV420 Shorty (in case parts may be specific to this car)
As the subject suggests, I'm chasing two washer jets for the widscreen and the retaining clips that hold them to the plastic trim. I'm planning on doing the extra washer mod that Atari has done.
See pic for the mod I'm talking about and the jets required --->
And I'm after a gear stick to suit my gearbox. I'm planning on doing a body lift very shortly and I want to grab a spare shifter to have a play with bends, angles and lengths in order to clear the areas it fouls on bodywork after the lift. I dont know if the shifter is specific to my model or if it can be taken from any Vit gearbox.
Thanks guys.
Stuey

that looks like a great idea Stuey
you could have raped Joseph's wreck a couple of weeks ago for the washer jets... PM polar_bear as he might have some kicking around at Flagstaff Hill Wreckers, you'll need the metal clips as well.
p.s. you have a PM

for the gear shifter i guess this would be for a 2 inch body lift?
i can slip my gear stick out and get you a photo of the bend, and there is no need to extend it at all

Thanks mate. Hang on to them for the minute until I see if I can track down some clips. If I find some I'll get in touch with you. Unless someone has clips and washers they can part with which will be a lot easier. I'll try a scrappy if need be.

My main aim is to try and use the stock gear boot and maintain a similar "throw" to the factory lever. If you are willing to put up a pic that would be great. I'm particularly interested in the side profile of the shifter right down to where it goes into the box. I've seen Atari's and he's had to bend the crap out of his shifter.
Regardless, I still want to find a spare shifter so I can have a play with it.

I can make it in the arvo no worries. I remember reading somewhere that Joe might be going to the Jandakot Ramp Day or something? Anyway, as I say I'm flexible.
As for Auto Stores being open, most are like Super Cheap, Repco, Auto 1 etc on a Sunday.
Alternatively if you leave them at Joe's when it suits you, I can just swing past on the way home from work one day and pick them up when he's home. Failing that, I can just drive out to you.
As I said, can I offer you something for them?
